This is our 7th S3 Research Product show at Wash U co-sponsored by the Tissue Culture Core and Stockroom. The School of Medicine maintains one of the most dynamic and robust research enterprises in the nation. During the 2016 fiscal year, grants and contracts totaling more than $531 million supported faculty research efforts at the School of Medicine. It is one of the largest recipients of funding for research and training from the National Institutes of Health, with the majority of the funds awarded for research in cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease and genomics.
Initiatives include basic science, as well as clinical and translational research projects aimed at accelerating the application of research innovations to treatment options for patients.
