We are back for our first post-COVID event at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center which is always very well attended. TNBRC is one of eight centers that make up the National Biomedical Research Center Program funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The primary areas of research today at the TNBRC are infectious diseases, including biodefense-related work and Regenerative Medicine. Research at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center is focused on human health problems that require the use of nonhuman primates to understand the disease. This forms the basis of efforts to develop diagnostics, therapeutics and preventive strategies such as vaccines. With over 260 employees the TNBRC is a leading regional research center.
